Honoring Advocates

The work of creating policies and processes that move America toward providing the African American with “all” the rights and benefits of “Full Citizenship” is a responsibility that few are willing to shoulder. Since 2013 the State Action Council has undertaken this work and created numerous innovative programs, processes and policies to advance this effort. In addition it has honored some of those heroes that from their various places of service have advanced African American life quality opportunity, equity and self-determination in a manner that has contributed to a stronger nation that is one step closer to the aspirational goals associated with its founding as a free and enlightened society that values liberty, justice and equality.
